Established by George and Trisha Sutherland in 1992. Caithness Summer Fruits has been offering a wonderful selection of fruit, preserves, and other tasty treats since 2003.
We grow a variety of berries at Berry Croft, the home of Caithness Summer Fruits. Berries are such an integral part of our family.
Trisha is even known as Granny Berry – and the grandchildren are the grand-berries!
The berries we grow are either sold as fresh berries or are used in our jams, and when we are unable to grow enough berries, we buy-in from other local growers in the Scottish Highlands.
We also buy in produce from the same local growers for all the traditional chutneys we make and source our citrus fruits from local suppliers.
We use traditional family recipes
(our Hilda’s Green Tomato chutney is named after Trisha’s granny).
Trisha has also developed these recipes to create alcoholic infused marmalades using locally distilled gins and whisky.
Caithness Summer Fruits preserves have been a favorite of local cafes, restaurants, shows, and Highland Games in Caithness, and along the NC500 for many years.
And now they are available to buy online. Enjoy!
